DIA Learning
Pixel IQ team members have played key roles in planning and execution of DIA Learning's Web, CD and DVD-based Learning Management System. The system was developed to allow healthcare professionals an easy access to high quality educational materials, testing and certification.
DIA Learning, a division of Digital Imaging Advancement (DIA) Productions LLC, was born on December 5th, 2002, as a privately held company whose principals focused on blending the best talent in motion media, academia, and electronic technology, to provide an exciting new concept in learning and knowledge retention.
In cooperation with Center for Health Care Ethics of Saint Louis University, DIA Learning developed a curriculum for a 12-part series of healthcare ethics programs. Through a partnership with Stepstone Productions, DIA Learning produced high quality educational video programs to support the curriculum. With managing, technical and creative efforts from Pixel IQ team members, DIA Learning developed the online teaching and testing engine, e-commerce and the administrative access to manage the LMS users and content.
ESTABLISHING A PRECEDENCE
Among the first tasks, Pixel IQ team members developed a strong and easily recognizable brand identity that can be easily carried across various media and application. Following was a design of web and CD based interfaces. The interfaces carried the existing style while allowing for differentiation among programs by changing color schemes. Through management and programming efforts, Pixel IQ team members have built a unique teaching and testing engine that has since gained top scores in a long-term user evaluation. Over the long run, the team members have continued to upgrade the capabilities of the engine and have expanded its usage across different educational programs. In recent years, they have also developed a DVD-based version of the LMS, targeted towards group studies. To support DIA Learning marketing efforts, Pixel IQ team members have been responsible for designing concepts and developing a variety of promotional elements, from Flash-based digital business cards and HTML email campaigns to conventional printed materials.
TRACKING AND MEASURING SUCCESS
The program success can be contributed to the unique design of the LMS engine and Pixel IQ's design and development skills. The teaching and testing strategy that the engine applies renders an unmatched retention level found in any other Learning Management System. The average test score, measured over a 3 year period, has exceeded 94%. A returning customer comments: "This program makes you learn, and there is no way around it. If you hope for an easy pass just to get a certificate, you better look elsewhere."
